Loki wandered the plains of Niflheim in search of the one known as Laura. He had little interest in saving a human, especially one he knew nothing about and who was of no importance to him, but a deal was a deal, and as promised, he would bring her back from the realm of the dead. After an hour or so of searching, he came across the unconscious body of a girl lying below a veil of mist. He approached her cautiously. “Laura? Is that you?”

For how long she had lain on the icy ground, Laura could not tell. It might have been days or weeks even, or it might have been mere hours stretched to infinity by lack of measurement. Whatever the time was, the expected death had not hit her and left her to rot instead. Not that she felt very alive, no, her mind at this point had long stopped entertaining thoughts and her body had given in before that even; and yet never did she fall asleep or rest, no, she lay watching and barely noticing in what would be more trance than needed rest.

The girl did see a figure approach, something parting the fogs around her. But only when it appeared to come close yet stayed unclear in her vision did she realize that her sight was tainted between half-closed eyes. Opening them stung, but she did, and groaned a wordless response. That a Loki-faced one had found her was clear, but which of the many was it?

I’m confused. But. Happy? Happused. Confappy. Yeah the last one sounds wrong.
